We started creating our Gourmet Class product 12 years ago with an idea, to make the finest and most delicious NATURAL Buffalo and Beef Jerky available anywhere! Our customers believe we have succeeded. The Wind River product is so different than any other jerky that we often refer to it as Dry Roasted Steak instead of jerky.
We do not use preservatives or MSG yet our Jerky lasts as long or longer than products that have preservatives. Our shelf life is about one to two years depending on storage conditions. We believe that nitrates, nitrites and MSG can be very unhealthy. Therefore, we do not use them in Wind River Jerky Products. Our recipes along with our drying and roasting techniques are proprietary and are quite different than other methods of drying. Wind River chefs are trained to prepare, marinate and roast each slice of buffalo or beef to a delicious gourmet Dry-Roasted Steak. Wind River's all Natural Buffalo Jerky (Think Steak) is also low in fat, calories and cholesterol and is approximately 3X leaner than turkey breast. We have always felt that there are two types of Jerky.....Wind River and everything else. That may sound a little presumptuous but our customers would agree with that statement.
